The door opened swiftly and Bobbi looked up from her work to see the hawk and chief of her protective detail, Agent Barton. She stared at him with a slight irritated look, “Didn’t your mother ever teach you to knock before you enter someone’s private laboratory?”
Clint walked across the room to the window. He stared out through the blinds, “Sorry, Morse, but she was too dead to take care of me.”
Bobbi was taken aback by his response and tried to apologize when he interrupted her, “Time to pick up your things. We’ve been made.”
“I can’t, I need more time. The super-soldier serum is not something that can be done over night,” she said as Clint started putting her files into a backpack nearby.
“Doc, I really don’t want to hear it right now because if I had it my way, I’d be on a Caribbean cruise right now sailing—,” he said before the windows shattered behind them.
Bobbi and Clint dropped to the floor as two men in black gear crashed into her lab. Bobbi’s eyes fell on Clint’s sidepiece attached to his thigh. She unlatched it and quickly shot the two unwanted men.
Clint stared at her in a mixture of confusion and awe, “Where the hell that came from?”
“I took a course in college,” she said and offered the gun back to him.
“Keep it,” he said as he helped her up, “And if we make this out alive and you’re interested, I’ll recommend you to S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Yeah right, so I can work alongside you?” she said as she tossed more equipment into the backpack.
“Keep dreaming,” Clint said as he looked for identification on the two men, “These guys are A.I.M., which confirms that they really are after you.”
“Really? What gave you that idea?” Bobbi mocked him and he scratched the back of his head in frustration.
“You’re going to be a pain in my ass for the next few weeks, aren’t you?” he asked. She was about to answer his rhetorical question, but he held his finger up. She smirked and crossed her arms playfully.
“Where to now? The Caribbean?” she asked, her smirk still present.
Clint smiled mischievously in return, “You know what? You read my mind,” he said as he started to walk out of the lab.
“Wait, Clint I was joking. Clint!” she said as she ran after him.
So yeah, as you can tell, I’m on a Mockingbird/Hawkeye high. I’m thinking of continuing this…
Title: Missing Scene: Birdie
Character(s): Natasha/Black Widow, Clint/Hawkeye, Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird
Summary: Movie verse: Clint and Natasha talk when Natasha notices a little birdie hanging outside the window. BobbiClint.
Natasha sighed as Clint massaged his knuckles next to her. They were never trained for this, her words echoed through her mind. She looked up and saw a fellow agent (and friend) look through the window of the door. The agent ducked down at the sight of Tasha staring and Tasha smiled.
“Where are we going?” Ben asked as he looked out the window from his side of the car.
“I told you we’re going camping,” Will replied. He briefly glanced over and inwardly sighed. To be honest, he had no idea what he was doing.
The broken radio made the ride awkward with the hum of the car running in the background. A phone vibrated by the gear shift and Ben glanced down at the caller, “What does IMF stand for?”
Will grabbed the phone, turned it off and tossed it to the back seats. “Is that where you work?” Ben asked.
“You realize you’ve been asking me nothing but questions since the moment you arrived at my doorstep,” Will said with a hint of irritation.
“What do you expect? I know nothing about you. I was 10 years old the last time I saw you and mom and dad never talked about you after you left.”
Will sighed. His parents’ unexpected deaths hit him hard and the responsibility of taking care of his younger brother hit him harder.
“That’s why we’re going camping, so we can get to know each other again. Mom and dad used to take us camping every summer, remember?”
Ben looked out the window again, “Yeah, I remember. I remember when you lost me after dad told you to keep an eye on me.”
Will scratched his forehead as he tried to remember the event and when he did he started to laugh, “We were playing hide and seek, you little punk. I couldn’t find you and I started to freak! And the whole time you were hiding up in a tree watching us go crazy trying to find you.”
Ben joined in his laughter, “Mom scolded you for days. It was hilarious!”
The laughter eventually died down and Will lightly punched Ben on the shoulder, “I miss them too, you know.”
Ben punched him back, “Yeah, I know.”
